Does Online Armor detect viruses?

Q. I installed the trial version of Online Armor and in the General Tab at the bottom it says "You should periodically scan your computer for viruses. Click here to scan now". Does this mean Online Armor is an Anti-Virus program and one does not need to purchase another program?

A - Online Armor AV+ does includes an antivirus engine (the Kaspersky AV engine). If you don’t purchase the AV+ edition then Online Armor will use its own, much smaller database.

If you do not wish to use the AV+ version then we recommend finding an antivirus to supplement your protection.
