Why is this program Dangerous? What do Dangerous programs do?

This is a contentious one. Viruses are dangerous; Spyware is dangerous - both can reduce the performance of your computer, be difficult to remove and steal sensitive information.

There is a grey area - programs which are difficult to uninstall, or mess with the normal workings of your computer. Many programs also install by stealth. We've taken the call that any advertising/adware/spyware or other grey program goes onto the not-trusted list. If you *want* to install and run such a program, you still can. If not - we'll help you block it.
